About Me

Jorge Matus is an architect born in Mexico City in 1987 and a graduate of Universidad Iberoamericana. He founded Matus Arquitectura in 2006, and since then has built a solid career as a designer and builder of spaces with identity, functionality, and high aesthetic value.

Over nearly 20 years of experience, he has designed and built projects for more than 1,000 clients and investors across various regions of Mexico, including Mexico City and State of Mexico, Hidalgo, Guerrero, Jalisco, Querétaro, and Quintana Roo—featuring destinations such as Cancún, Tulum, Valle de Bravo, Acapulco, Guadalajara, and Pachuca, among others. He has also brought his architectural vision abroad, developing industrial and corporate projects in Havana, Cuba.

Matus Arquitectura began in 2006 with remodeling and interior design projects, and over time specialized in turnkey design and construction of residential projects ranging from mid-level to high-end and luxury residential developments.

Since 2013, Matus Arquitectura has also offered capital investment channels for clients and investors focused on the construction and sale of residential properties. His approach integrates architectural design, construction execution, and meticulous attention to detail as part of a comprehensive experience for each client or investor.

The firm operates with a team of over 100 specialists and administrative collaborators, along with dozens of floating workers, allowing it to develop both single-family and multi-family projects of varying scales with a high level of professionalism, efficiency, and environmental sensitivity.

Most recently, in 2024 and 2025, he co-founded Midal Smart Capital, based in Cancún. This company specializes in channeling legally backed capital for construction and real estate development, with a focus on promoting the sale of properties within the high-growth region of Mexico’s Riviera Maya.
